- Instructions
You will need a 6-gallon fermenter, and a still that can hold 5 gallons, or a smaller still with which you'll make multiple runs.
A great first step into using grains for distilling. This 'partial mash kit uses both sugars converted from grains during the mash as well as corn sugar. The corn sugar means you won't need to mash as much grain making the mashing process smaller and easier, though you'll use enough corn and malt to get a great flavored bourbon.
This recipe comes with step-by-step instructions, and is an excellent compromise between ease of mashing and flavor- it tastes great!
