Hungarian oak is a good all-around aging oak for spirits. Medium toast oak can be a great all-around option for any spirit you age. Cubes shed less wood and ash than some other oak options, making the spirit easier to filter. They are also easily added & removed from carboys, jars, jugs, and other aging vessels.
These oak cubes can be used in Aaron's Thin Mash Whiskey recipe, or with other bourbon style recipes.
