Every first Thursday in June is National Moonshine Day!

With a large number of commercial operations making moonshine (in most instances a clear, unaged whiskey) it's easier than ever to celebrate this holiday.

If you're looking to try your own hand at moonshining, keep in mind that it's still illegal in most countries to distill! Of course, that's part of the attraction and thrill of making your own booze at home. The popularity of moonshining since prohibition had continued to decrease until recently. New interest in the hobby due to TV shows, more information available online, and a pandemic have sparked a new generation of moonshiners.
